Safer at home order?

Updated: Apr 2, 2020

Hello everyone.  In the coming weeks it is certain that we will need to continue to do as much ‘social distancing’ as possible.  While this may sound like great fun to some, for most of our kids, it’s not going to be easy. Finding new ways to keep them engaged will be a challenge.  If it were up to our son Max, he would be very happy to do nothing but play video games all day - but there has to be a balance.  So, while he is out of school on this pandemic break, we are having him read for an hour every day.  Puzzles are also a good way to pass the time and it keeps the mind stimulated.  Another thing I think would be interesting to try is to have your child sit down and write a list of all the things they are thankful for in their lives.  With all the ‘social distancing’ and most  businesses being closed, it will be interesting to see what Max misses and what he is thankful for having in his life.
